Voleabcess Institution of Necromancy, Sorcery and Witchcraft

Voleabcess (pronunciation arguable) is a Harry Potter based Role Playing site set in the current times. This means that the players make characters that are witches and wizards with various strengths of power. For those of you who don't know what an RP is, it is much like and RPG (Role Playing Game), in the respect that you are the character, and you must think for them. However, with an RP, you write or type your reply for the other characters to see.

Since it is supposed to be in modern times, the page has the assumption that The Dark Lord Voldemort has already fallen, and Harry Potter has saved the Wizarding, and hell, the Muggle world as well. This leaves all the players the freedom to create their own evil, and indeed they have. The Grave Vyrms, a powerful dark group, have the typical hatred of anyone that isn't of a Pure Blood. It is a group of people that have are the descendants of a great and powerful wizard. In order for them to gain their true power, however, they need to reunite this wizards wand (it was broken into 10 pieces to ensure that the spells that were cast were never to be remembered). Speaking of history, on the left hand side of the page, towards the top is a brief history of the school itself. For time's sake, I shall quote it here. "Voleabcess Institution is a small school despite the large castle it is housed in. Known to accept advanced students in magic that have transferred from other schools as well as newcomers to the arts, Voleabcess has thrived over the years. Founded in 1209, it has changed little and is on its 7th Headmaster. Voleabcess is a private school of sorts, accepting the children of old families. Blood Status is required and, though they accept those of a lower blood status, documentation of one’s history is necessary. This was a new rule, put into action by the newest Headmaster who also allowed the enrollment of Muggle Borns much to the dismay of most of the former students."

In order to become a student, or have a character become a student, you must first fill out a Student Profile (Here). Then, if the lovely Headmaster Belanov (Played by the wonderful Manson) approves and sorts your character, you can move onto the next step. Classes. In order for your character to get into any sort of class, you must first visit the Class listing. There are three mandatory classes, and then you get to choose what other classes your character takes.(Class list here) In order for your character to be in the classes, you must send a PM to the Headmaster with a list of your desired classes. Once you've been sorted, and you have your classes, it's time to introduce your character to the wonderful world of Vole (Voleabcess is affectionately called Vole by it's members). 


While some people may find the idea of RPing to be boring, or simply silly, those on Vole find it full of happiness, sadness, and drama. One example of such drama would be the love/hate relationship between Cecil Ward and Laura Vinegar. Cecil and Laura have gotten into so many different shenanigans, be it having books charmed to throw themselves at Cecil, or Laura pushing him down a flight of stairs. (Cecil typically finds  himself getting injured around Laura. At least there is a decent male Nurse, a one Mr. Drago Rua.) 


Character interaction is of the utmost importance in any good RP. In this one, most players keep in contact and are friends online. While their characters may hate each other, this is not shared among the players. (Even though there are a few who some people don't like.) Everyone is a friend of someone on that page, and everyone is friendly towards the others.


If you would like to participate in a Harry Potter based RP with some of the most wonderful people around, then Voleabcess Institution of Necromancy, Sorcery and Witchcraft is probably the place for you. I would highly recommend this for anyone with the desire to be around wonderful characters played by such interestingly crazy awesome people.
