11/28/2010

So, today I woke up around 8, and really just did not feel well. Pretty much exactly what I did: Brushed my teeth, pottied, and then went back to bed. Like I said, I did not feel well at all. So, about an hour later someone knocks on my door, asks me something. I forget what, but I had to get up and open the door to answer. : /  Went back to bed after that. Couldn't get more than half a sleep.
I decided around noon to get my ass out of bed, and I also decided that I wanted to go with MK and Mom while they went over the bridge to drop MK off at her apartment again. It took about two and a half hours to get there. Then we went shopping (after dropping the cat and her stuff off at the apartment).
Giant. Such a lovely store. A LOVELY STORE THAT HAS CACTI.

I discovered Tumblr today. Mostly because I wanted to follow a girl who goes by VoldemortOutBitch. Pretty interesting posts there.

So, I saw Harry Potter today. (NO SPOILERS) It was pretty fuckin' epic. I mean, there were certain parts I didn't like it about, and certain parts of certain parts I didn't like. I feel like some parts should have gone with the book, but made sense as to why they didn't while in the movie form. But there were other parts that were the opposite; it went with the book, but didn't show it as why that happened. So, in general, it was a pretty good movie. With or without the book. Though, I will admit as to why some people think that it wasn't a very good movie. I've been told (before I saw it) that it was going to be "Epic," "Intense," "Dark," "Slow," "Awesome," "A wonderful movie," "Horrible," "Worst Harry Potter out," "Best Harry Potter out." Main point, I've heard mixed reviews. But I'm going to go with the one that are positive. For HP lovers everywhere, it is a must see. You might like it. You might not. Either way, you saw it. You got to spend a good two and a half hours sitting and staring at Danielle Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint. And what crazy person wouldn't call that a good time?

Another think that happened to me today. I was informed of a new website. It's actually pretty cool. It's called AcidEmbrace. It's a site that has shirts, bags, bracelets, and a few other things. It seems like a new site, due to the small amount of things there. But it's a reasonably priced site, and it ships to everywhere in the world. So, yeah. I suggest you check it out. It's got a few HP things in the "Guys" section, but not the "Girls" (and that really kind of bugged me. :/ Must not have Girls sizes for it up yet), that are really good. It's got one that tells about "Mudbloods" that I really liked. I want that shirt. Also  has one that says, "I Solemly Swear that I'm Up to No Good." and if you don't know what that references, Shame on you. Go read the damn books! (The ones in question would be the Third, and the Fifth. Not so much as the Fifth as the Third though.)

EDIT: ALSO HARRY POTTERIS FOLLOWING ME ON TWITTER!

List of things (for me) to make sure I include in this. (Note: This will be edited later to include all that I want it to include. I'm about to go to Wal*Mart)

Thanksgiving day activities

  • Pretty much what I did for Thanksgiving was this: Battle everything on the ride there to make sure it a) didn't burn me, and b) stayed still enough that it didn't flip of spill over. Eat a nice helping of everything I could eat (which really wasn't much). Play Uno with family. Kick John's ass at it. Look out the window on the ride home. Watch Beauty and the Beast with my sister, make Lasagna for dinner (The actual meal at my Grandma's was more like Lunch), watch random tv with MK till about 11, while simultaneously working on a new purse/bag thing I have a pattern for. Brush my teeth, out by 2.

Kinect Experience

  • So John came home today with a Kinect. He actually came in and asked MK and I who was going to buy him the Kinect for Christmas. When we asked the price and he told it to us (150$!!!), we told him that neither of us was getting it for him. So, he pulled from behind the wall (he was standing in the doorway) the box for Kinect. It was... an interesting discovery. He had trouble getting the box open though XD So MK joked that Opening the Box was the first part of the game.

Day /after/ Thanksgiving Day activities

  • Wake up, play RDR: Undead Nightmare for hours. Prolly 'round two I beat it. Got to play the game while being (SPOILER!!!!!!!!) Undead Marston. Found, and killed, War. I feel bad for that thing. I lost Death. Who was pretty damn awesome. Once you get Death, people. Do not lose him. You can break the other Horses, but do not let Death go. Out of the ones I've experience thus far, Death is the Best. ♥
  • Let it be known that I woke up around 12:30. I got hungry around two. 'Bout the same time I beat the game. So I went into the kitchen and asked my mom when our own Thanksgiving dinner thing would be done (because we always have our own immediate family celebration at our place if we go somewhere else for the actual holiday). Found out around five. So I saw her nommin' on some chips and Jalapeno dip. Stole them. She followed me into the living room though. So she could continue to nom. Stayed with me while I continued to play.
  • Switched to Fable III around 3. It is AH-MAY-ZING! I love that game. I haven't gotten too far, really. But overall, it's wonderful. I can't wait till I rule the land. ♥ I'm going to be evil, and then own everything. Then possibly go good. I don't know yet. I might stay evil.

Project Bathroom

  • The thing I wanted out of the wall is out. So now I just have to fill those holes in, clean it again ('cause it got a bit nasty while I was gone), and then paint it. ..also have to put in that new shelve thing. But the Operation is back in motion now~

Update on Knitting Desires

  • I wanna learn how to knit. When I was in Towson I saw a girl making a Slytherin Scarf (or at least it looked like she was making one) and I just thought it was awesome. So I'm going to learn how to do it. And hopefully get pretty good at it. Like I never did for Crocheting or however it's spelled. My ultimate goal is making a Slytherin Scarf. But for now, I'm going to settle on making smaller things. Like Square Swatches. ...after I learn how to start it and actually continue it.

A list of Gift Ideas for family members
  1. For MK: Earrings (got), Donkey Kong, Epic Mickey, Scarf, Pajama Bottoms, Dinosaur Comic Book, a Christmas Ornament,
  2. For Mom: Book (got), Northface Jacket, A Christmas Ornament,
  3. For John: Microsoft Points, Money
  4. For Dad: Socks, Ties,

Wal*Mart/Target

  • So I went to Wal*Mart today. I got Knitting needles since I wanted to learn how to Knit (mostly so I can make a Slytherin Scarf (Ultimate Goal)). I also got Earrings for my sister, since they were so cheap, and she told me she wanted them for Christmas. So she won't get them till Christmas even though she knows she is getting them. I also went to Target today as well. Night Shopping is so much better than day shopping.  We decorated a Christmas tree while we were there. It was a tiny little thing. Absolutely adorable. A 2 foot plastic tree. 9$. I recommend you buy it. And then buy the collection of larger than normal baubles and other ornaments for it. Because it looks best with giant ornaments on it.

2/24/2010

Well, I'm home now. It was a pretty good day. Discovered a new way of saying "cool". It is now, "Zombie-Ninja-Pirate-Cool". Pretty bad ass, no? I thought so. I think it's awesome. Combining three things that people fight over being awesome. Yeah. Super new level of awesome cool. ^.-

But yeah. So, I was told today, that Wal*Mart has a fabric sale. And I happened to have enough money to buy 20 yards of fabric. For 21.20$. PRETTY FUCKIN' CHEAP NO?! I think it was a steal. I feel like I've stolen from Wal*Mart. I'm not even joking when I say that I have the fabric next to my bed. And I might end up sleeping with it on my bed. It makes me feel that good that I bought it. I mean.. I got twenty yards of fabric for just under 22$. That is a serious deal. No joke. I mean, if I had tried to get that at Joan Fabrics, I'd have spent probably double or triple what I did spend. I'm tellin' ya. Once I get more money, I'm buying so much more fabric. They have pretty cotton blends, and there was one cotton blend, that was a pretty purple and it felt like silk. It is REALLY hard to find a decent silk like fabric. And I did. And I'm proud to say that I did not get the pretty purple, but an adorably bright baby blue color.

I am happy with my fabric choices. Once I get 6$ I'm going back for more. (I seriously hope that they stay being sold till Friday. I'mma try to convince my mom to buy some for me for an early Christmas gift.) It'll be fuckin' awesome.

Also: Update on the Spyro thing. I have the body ENTIRELY finished, the head needs eyes (and maybe a nose?), and I need to work on a tail and neck. Though I've got about half a neck. Just needs to be finished.

Tomorrow, I go to Hebron to visit my Grandmothers for Thanksgiving. No one is really excited for it. But, ya know. It'll be nice to see the family again. Even if I am waiting for the time where we can leave. I'm sure MK and I will find something to do while we are there. Hopefully. If not, I'll bug the hell out of my parents to see if we can bring Jak. He'd keep me both company, and entertained. I'd feed him some Turkey. Provided that it isn't too juicy. I'm told he's been getting sick lately, which worries me. I hope he's okay. I just.. I really hope that it's the fact they are feeding him off the table, and his stomach just stopped tolerating people food (that will teach the people to stop feeding him off the table). As long as it's just meat, he'll be fine. But they rarely just have meat, and being only dried meat. Normally it's either got some gravy, it's got noodles with it, or there is just.. something that is not good for a dogs digestion. So, hopefully he's all good. I'd like to keep him around until I'm old enough to be able to have my own kids (an age which I am going to save till I almost can no longer have kids (so probably late thirties)).

Urgh.

Well, I'm kind of pissed at my friends. and I don't actually feel like I can tell anyone. Which is stupid. I mean, I could talk to them about it. Get any problems resolved, because I feel like there are problems (though what they might be, I'm not sure). I could talk to my sister about it, because she is practically right next to me. I could tell my mom, because she is simply a text message away (even though I doubt she may actually respond). Or I could tell Jackie (when she gets back), because she seems good at advice and stuff.

I just.. I dunno. I feel like I need to rant about this. It probably doesn't help that I feel sick as well. And the fact that I'm stuck in a small apartment with three other girls (and often their boyfriends) probably doesn't help.  It just bothers me that  my friends kind of.. Well it seems like they are either ignoring me, or just plain avoiding me, or even just trying to humor me. I realize they have their own problems. I know homeskillet has problems she has to deal with right now, and I know homegurl has a life. But I just. I suppose I just feel a bit unloved. Homegurl is creating stuff, and I realize that this is important to her, and I try to help out, but... it just doesn't seem I can. And Homeskillet just isn't in a talkative mood, it seems. She is either having friend problems, or someone has done something, or shit has hit the fan. I don't know. No one tells me shit anymore. And if they do, it's always about twelve hours after the shit happens.

I should just shut up and continue doing what I know how to. Makin' plushies. Not trying to find out what's wrong with the people I call friends.

Attack of the Fox-yro

Well. I started a plushie today. And I finished the head. It's not stuffed, and it's made out of purple felt (with slight tie-dying). I still need to add eyes (which I will either draw on, put in button eyes, or do an idea I discussed with mah buddy Jackie), and maybe add a nose or do something with the nose.
But I discovered, that this could EASILY be edited to look like Spyro. I mean, I edited the plushie in order to  get it the way it is now. Sooo. Yeah. With a few more small edits It could easily be a Spyro head. Just have to add horns, and cut the line in the center of the head to give it his little.. hair thingies. See Spyro Image Here (for the Head Hair thingy)

I think when I get home (which should be Next Wednesday), I'll try to edit it and get it done. I just need to come up with a body to match the head. And since I don't even know how to put together the pattern for the "Teddy Fox" thing that I was attempting before (there are no directions for the body), I might just try to edit another pattern there to fit my purposes. 'Cause Spyro is pretty cool. AAAND, I do believe I've got felt fabric in the semi-right colors for the Spyro plushie idea. If not, I can always edit it with my fabric markers (which I really need to buy more of).

Also, let it be known the thing that I ate the most today, was Chocolate. I had Chocolate chips and cocoa pebbles for breakfast, and a lunch thing. Then for dinner I had Burgers. But after dinner, my snack consisted of Fruity Pebbles and Chocolate chips (which, while sounding gross, really isn't(to me at least)).

Why Herro Dare Harry Pottah

01. top 3 favorite characters & why

  • Molly Weasley. She was... kind of the stereotypical mother. But she did it in a way that made it respectable, and in the story that was necessary. She played her part well. She was fiercely protective of all she considered her children, and she even killed someone who threatened one!
  • Fred & George (because I simply can not count them as separate entities (Also, Fred never died. That was  his stunt double)). They added comedic relief, and were wonderful characters. I loved the sillyness they got into, and the jokes and pranks they pulled. But most of all, I loved how fun they were. They seemed to just thrive on life. It was fun to read, and see.
  • Dobby. That house elf laid down his life for those he cared about. That is true love right there. I.... don't really think i have much more to say about him. He's just awesome like that. ♥

02. did it take a while before you got into the series, or did you immediately fall in love

  • I fell in love with it the moment I laid eyes on it. Not even going to joke about that.

Well Now Then.

So.. I was introduced to Stumbleupon again. It was rediscovered. Don't believe it? Check my facebook. I've spammed it with links from there.

Anywho. Not the point. I have found an artist using StumbleUpon, whose art both intrigues me, and gives me the heeby jeebies. This Arists has some very interesting pieces in their collection. Even the website itself if a work of art. From the initial design, how it comes onto the screen, to the movements between each piece of art. From what I've seen, it seems they draw a piece, upload it, digitize a few things to either move or light up, and then upload it on their site. They have a lovely set up, and their works of art border dark and creepy. With an air of sadness...

Overall still lovely art though.

W00t~

I'm excited right now. Even though I should be packing, I'm on here. Telling those of you who actually look at this that I am excited. It's going to be great. :D

I'm currently excited because...

  1. I'll be going to visit my sister this weekend.
  2. I'll be staying there for roughly three weeks.
  3. I might finally have someone to play DDR with.
  4. Aaaand I've almost finished the main part of the body for my Giraffe.
Thus, I have reason to be excited. ALSO! I forgot one. I've got those pier-oh-gees things downstairs thawing so that I can cook them for dinner~
My reasons for excitement are kind of  selfish.. But I'm a selfish person, I suppose.

Since it took  me forever to remember the word "selfish", I started ACTUALLY packing. And I'm done packing clothes. I'm working on stuff to keep me entertained while MK is in class, or doing school work / studying right now. Next I've got to work on:
  1. Personal Items (tooth brush, tooth paste, shower supplies, girlie stuff)
  2. Electronics (PS2, games, xBox, games cell phone, chargers)
  3. Cat stuff (I might leave these for tomorrow morning though.)
  4. Cleaning my room
  5. Put more water in the Fish tank
  6. Ask mom to feed the fish while I'm gone
  7. Grab my prescription
I think that's it..

Why, Yes My lord. I am a failure.

My goodness. He is going to lord that failure over me. Out of the thirty questions he had me answer for him for his test (his midterm, I found out AFTER i finished it), I got 7 wrong. That means that the worst grade he would have gotten, had he gone with the answers I provided, would have been a 76. A C. He would have gotten a C on his midterm. Personally, I'd say that that isn't such a bad grade. But he is going to lord this over me for quite some time. And it is going to get super annoying super fast.
I just know it.

But anywho. I've been playing RDR Undead Nightmare pretty much all day. Got into Mexico, where the Undead no longer groan. They growl. I find that hilarious.

Right now, I'm actually working on that giraffe plushie I mentioned a few days ago. I'll probably upload images of the body when it's finished. and then take images of the head when I've got it all drawn out, because I have to do that first. And then cut it out. Then trace it. And stitch the fabric together. I have no idea how I'll stuff the head and combine the two finished pieces (the pieces being the complete body, and the completed head+neck). I'll probably come up with something.. Just thinking about it now I have ideas.

Voted!

I voted today for the first time ever in my life. First time I could ever vote, actually.
And for the most part, I voted Republican. Guess it's a good thing I'm listed as Independent?
Anywho. Pretty much the whole time we were driving down to the Polls my dad was going on about how I better vote Republican, because he Pays for all my stuff, and if I vote Democrat they will make it harder for him to pay for it. Thus he wouldn't be able to pay for my college. Because the Democrats have ruined our country.
Bunch of crazy lies.

Onto a better thing. Actually. My day kind of sucked. I didn't do anything amazing awesome. I saw the movie Saw 3D. Spent a good deal of it covering my eyes from all the mindless killings. Pretty much only closed my eyes for the killings. It was a good movie. Had a good plot line, story line, what have you name it. The 3D effects were good. Not crappy and barely there like in The Last Avatar, but actually there. And in yo face, ho!

But yeah... that was pretty much the best part of my day.

NaNoWriMo

Well. Today is the start of NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month for those who don't know what it means. Basically it is where you write 50,000 words in a period of 30 days. I decided I'm going to do a bunch of short stories. About my conspiracies. Involving Bananas. and Fish.

But also, I made an interesting discovery. If you turn the shower on, Splinter will go to it. And she will squat on the rug I have in my bathroom, and she will pee. So turns out.. Running water works just as well on cats, as it does on humans.

So, I made a yummy lunch. (More of a... lunner?) It was those Pier-oh-gees things. Love 'em. Four cheeses. Wish I had grabbed the spinach box though. Must admit I prefer those. They make my tummy super happy (and no, my internal mental voice did not just say that as if it was Kai-Lan (Okay, yes it did)).

During my Lunner I decided to redeem my Microsoft Points code. So that I could buy the Downloadable content (DLC) for Red Dead Redemption (RDR). After I got the 1600 points on my system, I went to download it. And have been downloading it ever since. It's been.. over 10 minutes. And it's still just 3%. I'll update you on how long it actually takes for this thing to fully load.

So.. after an hour of loading, it got to 33%. And I may have just stopped the downloading. But I went back to the marketplace, and tried to redownload it. Definitely fearing that I'd have to pay 800 more points for it. LUCKILY I didn't have to. And right now, It's at about 44%. So I'm excited for this..I hope I don't have to leave it online pretty much all night to download. That would suck.

It took like three hours for it to download fully. It's pretty kick ass amazing. I love this game so much. It's crazy awesome.
